2023-01-12MABUX: Global bunker indices to trend higher on Jan.12.
MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) turned into upward evolution on Jan. 11:
380 HSFO - USD/MT – 455.67 (+1.50)
VLSFO - USD/MT – 656.35 (+4.54)
MGO - USD/MT – 1 011.61 (+5.84)
As of January 11, the MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered no significant changes in the HSFO segment, rather stable indices in the VLSFO segment either, and undercharge/overcharge premium slightly down in the MGO LS segment.
We expect Global bunker indices to continue upward trend on Jan.12: 380 HSFO – plus 5-12 USD/MT, VLSFO – plus 5-17 USD/MT, MGO LS – plus 7-20 USD/MT.
