2023-01-13MABUX: Global bunker indices to extend gains on Jan.13.
MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) continued upward trend on Jan. 12:
380 HSFO - USD/MT – 462.36 (+6.69)
VLSFO - USD/MT – 670.02 (+13.67)
MGO - USD/MT – 1 024.80 (+13.19)
As of January 12, the MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered slight widening of underpice premium in the HSFO segment, insignificant changes of underprice margins in the VLSFO segment, overcharge premium at Fujairah slightly down while undercharge premium up in the other three ports in the MGO LS segment.
We expect Global bunker indices to move further up on Jan.13: 380 HSFO – plus 2-6 USD/MT, VLSFO – plus 3-7 USD/MT, MGO LS – plus 2-12 USD/MT.
