MABUX: Mixed movements to prevail in Global bunker market on Jan.19.

MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) still did not have any sustainable direction on Jan. 18:

380 HSFO - USD/MT – 481.88 (+8.58)

VLSFO - USD/MT – 699.17 (+8.15)

MGO - USD/MT – 1 038.65 (-1.86)

As of January 18, the MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered further decrease of underpice premium in the HSFO segment, undercharge premium up while overcharge slightly down in the VLSFO segment, overcharge premium at Fujairah modestly down and no firm dynamics of underprice ratio’s trend at other selected ports in the MGO LS segment.

We expect Global bunker indices to keep mixed directions on Jan.19: 380 HSFO – minus 1-4 USD/MT, VLSFO – minus 2-6 USD/MT, MGO LS – plus 3-20 USD/MT.
