2023-03-03MABUX: Global bunker indices to change sideways on Mar. 03.
MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) did not have a sustainable trend on Mar. 02:
380 HSFO - USD/MT – 483.55 (+3.99)
VLSFO - USD/MT – 668.93 (-0.02)
MGO - USD/MT – 957.46 (+6.28)
As of March 02, the MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered:
- HSFO segment: slight narrowing of underprice premium at all selected ports except Houston where MDI added $ 2.
- VLSFO segment: flat undercharge ratio at three selected ports – Rotterdam, Singapore and Houston while overcharge at Fujairah slightly down.
- MGO LS segment: no sustainable trend in undercharge margins at three selected ports while overprice slightly down at Fujairah.
We expect Global bunker indices to revert to irregular changes on Mar. 03: 380 HSFO – plus 1-3 USD/MT, VLSFO – plus 2-4 USD/MT, MGO LS – plus-minus 2-8 USD/MT.
