2023-03-07MABUX: Irregular changes with no firm trend to prevail in Global bunker market on Mar. 07.
MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) did not have a firm trend and changed sideways on Mar. 06:
380 HSFO - USD/MT 492.50 (+6.74)
VLSFO - USD/MT – 671.49 (+0.72)
MGO - USD/MT – 959.48 (-0.88)
As of March 06, MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered:
- HSFO segment: still no sustainable trend while underprice premium stayed flat at all selected ports.
- VLSFO segment: slight widening of undercharge ratio at three selected ports – Rotterdam, Singapore and Houston while overcharge at Fujairah further down.
- MGO LS segment: slight increase of undercharge margins at three selected ports while overcharge ratio at Fujairah moderately down.
We expect Global bunker indices to change irregular with no sustainable trend on Mar.07: 380 HSFO – plus 1-4 USD/MT, VLSFO – plus 2-6 USD/MT, MGO LS – minus 5-12 USD/MT.
