2023-03-09MABUX: Global bunker indices continue to fall on Mar.09
MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) set to decline on Mar. 08:
380 HSFO - USD/MT - 489.07 ( -7.56)
VLSFO - USD/MT – 668.05 (-9.30)
MGO - USD/MT – 946.20 (-11.72)
As of March 08, MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered:
- HSFO segment: continued slight narrowing of underprice premium at all selected ports.
- VLSFO segment: undercharge ratio declined at three selected ports while overcharge premium at Fujairah widened slightly.
- MGO LS segment: no significant changes in undercharge margins at three selected ports: Rotterdam, Singapore and Houston while overcharge ratio at Fujairah slightly widened.
We expect a firm downtrend to continue in Global bunker market on Mar.09: 380 HSFO – minus 1-4 USD/MT, VLSFO – minus 3-7 USD/MT, MGO LS – minus 7-15 USD/MT.
