MABUX: Global bunker market to show mixed movements on Mar. 20.

MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) demonstrated a firm upward correction on Mar. 17:

380 HSFO - USD/MT - 462.98 (+7.44)

VLSFO - USD/MT – 624.93 (+5.63)

MGO - USD/MT – 897.19 (+6.86)

As of March 17, MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered:

- HSFO segment: underprice premium slightly down at Rotterdam, Fujairah and Houston while up at Singapore.

- VLSFO segment: undercharge ratio has not changed at Rotterdam and Fujairah. Singapore reverted to overcharge zone with plus 2 points and joined Houston where overprice premium widened slightly.

- MGO LS segment: undercharge margins changed sideways at three selected ports: Rotterdam, Singapore and Houston. Overcharge premium at Fujairah narrowed by 30 points.

We do not expect a sustainable trend in Global bunker market on Mar.20: 380 HSFO – minus 3-7 USD/MT, VLSFO – minus 5-12 USD/MT, MGO LS – plus 8-20 USD/MT.
