MABUX: Global Bunker indices to keep rising on May 24.

MABUX World Bunker Index (as index calculated on current prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO and MGO) rose modestly on May 23:

380 HSFO - USD/MT - 485.07 (+0.06)

VLSFO - USD/MT – 601.33 (+0.21)

MGO - USD/MT – 798.20 (+1.39)

As of May 23, MABUX MBP/DBP Index (MDI) (comparison of market bunker prices vs. the MABUX digital bunker price Benchmark) registered:

- HSFO segment: the underprice premium remained stable in Rotterdam but increased by a range of 2-7 USD in Singapore, Fujairah and Houston.

- VLSFO segment: the undercharge premium decreased in Rotterdam and Fujairah by 2 USD and 4 USD respectively, but it rose in Houston by 1 USD. Singapore is the only overcharged port while ratio dropped by 7 USD.

- MGO LS segment: the underprice ratio decreased by 8 USD in Rotterdam, 11 USD in Singapore, and 1 USD in Houston. Fujairah is still overcharged, but the premium dropped by 4 USD.

We expect upward evolution to continue in Global bunker market on May 24: 380 HSFO – plus 3-5 USD/MT, VLSFO –plus 3-6 USD/MT, MGO LS – plus-minus 1-6 USD/MT.
