MABUX: Global bunker marker to enter the phase of downward correction on Jul.27 after after U.S. and Iran Halt Attacks.

The MABUX World Bunker Index — a composite benchmark reflecting daily prices for 380 HSFO, VLSFO, and MGO — continued its upward trend on Jul. 24, marking the fifth consecutive session of gains:

380 HSFO: USD/MT: 667.45 (+2.53)

VLSFO: USD/MT: 819.67 (+5.13)

MGO: USD/MT: 1 327.71 (+17.89)

As of Jul. 24, the MABUX Market Differential Index (MDI), which tracks the spread between Market Bunker Prices (MBP) and the MABUX Digital Bunker Benchmark (DBP), showed the following trends across the four major global bunkering hubs—Rotterdam, Singapore, Fujairah, and Houston:

• HSFO segment: All four ports remained undervalued. The MDI widened by $35 in Rotterdam, $37 in Singapore, $29 in Fujairah and $38 in Houston. MDI values in Rotterdam and Houston moved above the $100 threshold, indicating a deeper level of undervaluation.

• VLSFO segment: Singapore shifted into the undervalued zone, joining Rotterdam and Houston. Discount margins widened by $62 in Rotterdam, $53 in Singapore and $32 in Houston. Fujairah remained the only overvalued port, although its premium narrowed by $61, moving closer to the 100% correlation level between MBP and DBP.

• MGO LS segment: All four ports continued to be undervalued. Discount margins widened by $59 in Rotterdam, $51 in Singapore, $41 in Fujairah and $79 in Houston. MDI values in Rotterdam, Singapore and Houston remained well above the $100 threshold.

MABUX expects the Global bunker marker to enter the phase of downward correction on Jul.27 after after U.S. and Iran Halt Attacks: 380 HSFO: minus 5-15 USD/MT, VLSFO: minus 5–15 USD/MT, MGO LS: minus 5–25 USD/MT.
